About COM	English (USA)
This will mainly be a "work conference" for those Arab Christians eager to invest some of their knowledge of Arabic and the Qur'an to help produce a solid Christian apologetics in response to the many tricks that the Muslims pull in their presentations of the "miracle of the Qur'an" whether it be linguistic or scientific or any other idea they might come up with next. Many of us (non-Arabic speakers) have heard the response "You don't know Arabic, you are not qualified to comment on the Qur'an!" or "If you only knew Arabic you also would be able to understand it and see the miracle ..." On this list, I would like to feed our Arab brothers and sisters with these "excuses" and with the arguments Muslims make from the Arabic and to which non-Arabs have a hard time to respond. I hope to get from you thorough responses to such issues which we then can feed back into the discussions on the newsgroups and incorporate into articles on the web sites giving a Christian perspective on the Qur'an and the Muslim claims about the Qur'an. It helps to establish a relationship between the members if you do identify yourself in each message either with your real name or a consistent pseudonym in case you think that is necessary. Subscribing to COM
Subscribe to COM by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. (Note that this is an umbrella list, intended to have only other mailing lists as members. Among other things, this means that your confirmation request will be sent to the `-owner' account for your address.)
