most expensive. Other than AT&T, T-mobile also has decent service and
better rates, but I don’t think either would do just a “just for a month” kind

color:#1F497D">Actually, one of the funniest things is, India itself has the
best plans, rates and coverage. Unlike here in the US, India’s cell phone
infrastructure is “absolute”. I’ve seen people literally out in the middle of
no-where, planting rice fields with a water buffalo and talking on their cell
phones. They’re prolific (everyone has one), cheap, and you can get a variety
of plans (pay as you go, etc.) that will ultimately be much cheaper than trying
to get one here in the US that will work and then take it over (rate is like
$.23/min with an India phone as opposed to like $3/minute with my “international
roaming plan” through AT&T). In addition, their mobile wireless coverage
for things like your laptop is WAY ahead of our technology. When I’m in India,
I have a little USB modem the size of a Flash-drive that gets me wireless
access from anywhere in the country. Literally. It costs about $12 for the
modem, and another $10/month for the access. It’s literally cheaper in India
to buy the phone and an entire year’s worth of service than probably to pay for
a quad-band phone and one month of service that will work there from here.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

and service for the month that he will be over there at a reasonable <br>
