allows you to move (or in this case copy, since they aren&#8217;t in the same forest)
AD users and computers between domains, including SID so you don&#8217;t have to go
through and change all the permissions on all the shares.&nbsp; It also means you
don&#8217;t have profile problems on the workstations.&nbsp; The profile is tied to the
SID, the SID stays the same, the computer gives the user the same profile they
had before.&nbsp; <o:p></o:p></span></p>

would like to map a drive on the old server, which points to a share on the new
server, and have all the old server clients access the data &#8220;through&#8221; the old
server.&nbsp; That way there should not be authentication problems.&nbsp; Can
anyone tell me a third party software that would setup an &#8220;alias&#8221; share on the
older server, where the data is actually on the new server?<o:p></o:p></p>
