This might sound just absurd to some of you, but this is where we're at. Currently at our church, we have one primary domain controller. We use active directory mainly for file sharing and permissions (and the convenience of people being able to log on at different workstations). We use Google Apps for email (got rid of Exchange). We probably have roughly 10 Macs, 30 Windows workstations, and 20 or so Windows laptops. There are about 10 network printers as well. <div>
<br></div><div>I'm going to be working back in the secular world full time again, and there's one other part time IT person who is here sometimes, but mainly I'm running things. The other person wants to install <a href="http://www.faronics.com/html/Deepfreeze.asp">Deep Freeze</a> in hopes that we can automate our IT infrastructure here when I'm gone. I don't think that's really possible or smart, because things go wrong, people need software, etc... What are your thoughts on this? Do you think there is a strong argument for needing someone to run things in IT? Or do you think his proposal of automating IT is realistic???</div>
